Md. Abdur Rahim is an accomplished academic and legal scholar currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Chairman in the Department of Law and Land Administration at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), Bangladesh. Mr. Rahim holds both Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Honours) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees from the University of Rajshahi, graduating with first class results in both. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D. in Law at the same university. His academic interests are rooted in land law, legal aid, human trafficking, cybercrime, criminal law, civil law, international law, personal law and constitutional issues, among others. Beginning his teaching career in 2011, Mr. Rahim served as a Lecturer in the Department of Law at Daffodil International University and as an adjunct faculty member at Ideal Law College in Dhaka. He joined PSTU in 2016 as a Lecturer and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2018.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rahim has shown a strong passion for academic development and student mentorship. His responsibilities have extended beyond traditional classroom teaching to include curriculum development, event coordination, departmental administration, and participation in university-wide programs. He has co-authored the book An Introduction to ADR Mechanism: Bangladesh Perspective and published several research articles in reputed national and international journals. Mr. Rahim has participated in numerous national and international training programs and seminars on teaching methodology, disaster management, and legal education. His co-curricular involvement includes serving as a moot court coach, mentor, trainer, and advisor to student organizations like the Daffodil Moot Court Society.
Born on December 30, 1987, in Bogra, Bangladesh, he remains steadfast in his mission to contribute meaningfully to the legal academia of Bangladesh and to global legal discourse.
