Biography

Md Abdul Matin obtained his PhD degree in 2002 on Immunomodulatory and cytotoxic properties of milk proteins at Gifu University, Japan. He also completed his MS degree in Dairy Chemistry from Shinshu University, Japan.  He completed his BSc in Animal Husbandry (Hons) in 1987 from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh. After that, he had been involved in the quantitative analysis of milk yield records and genetic ranking of the dairy cows in Savar Dairy Farm, Dhaka, Bangladesh to pursue Master degree in the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics, BAU in 1988.  With teaching and research involvement in the same line including technological process development and quality assurance of milk and dairy products, he is now working as a Professor in the Department of Dairy Science of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and his current research focuses on dairy production, development of process technology, value added product development, safety and quality of dairy products, and development of dairy value chains.
