A study investigated using putrescine seed priming to alleviate salinity stress in rock melon. The experiment tested various levels of salt stress and putrescine concentrations. Results showed that seed germination and seedling growth were significantly improved by priming, with a 2 mM putrescine treatment being the most effective. This treatment enhanced nearly all measured growth parameters and reduced the negative impacts of salinity, suggesting it is a viable method for mitigating salt stress in rock melon cultivation.
