Dr. Uddin studied BSc Ag (Hons) in Bangladesh Agricultural University and graduated in 2002. He obtained MS degree in Agricultural Extension Education from the same university in 2005. He availed Cornel University Fellowship in his MS research for assessing adoption of healthy seeding technology by CARE’s Farmer Field School (FFS) participants. Dr. Uddin achieved his PhD from College of Humanities and Development at China Agricultural University, Beijing in 2015. His PhD research focuses effect of paid veterinary services on livelihoods of smallholder dairy farmers of Bangladesh. Dr. Uddin participated postdoctoral training course on CSA in Wageningen University and conducted a year-long Postdoc research. His postdoc research illuminates on engaging women in climate information service for adopting CSA. He has established an active climate school for women farmers beside PSTU.
Dr. Uddin was a visiting fellow at Tsukuba University, Japan, Shenyang Agricultural University, China and International Poverty Reduction Center (IPRCC) China.
Currently Dr. Uddin has been supervising two PhD students who have been researching for developing Farmer Friendly Climate Information Services for Climate Smart Rice Disease Management in Coastal Bangladesh, and Policies for Implementing Climate Smart Agriculture in Bangladesh. Dr. Uddin has supervised about 50 MS thesis and published about 45 research articles in reputed national and international journals.
Dr. Uddin also worked as editor and reviewer in several journals. He is a co-author of popular book “How to write and publish a scientific research papers”.
Dr. Uddin has born in 28 October 1979 in Bogura district of Bangladesh. In personal life Dr. Uddin is married with Suborna Anam (Homemaker). Thy are parents of one daughter (Erin 14) and son (Ehan 10).
